  • If the payroll clerk can't help you, ask to speak to a Payroll Supervisor.
  • If you've done step 1 and 2 and your problem still isn't solved, call SEIU-UHW at 866-923-5525.

Help in getting your client more hours

If you and your client feel that the hours they are receiving aren't enough to enable your client to live safely in their home, your client should first call their social worker, and ask them to do a “re-assessment.”

  • If the social worker refuses to increase the hours or to do a re-assessment interview, your client can ask to speak to their supervisor.
  • If this doesn’t work, your client can file an hour’s appeal. For assistance in filing an appeal, call Bay Area Legal Aid at (800) 551-5554.
