Demand Restoration of Staffing Hours to Ensure Quality Care for Residents
Redding – Tomorrow, caregivers, residents, and their family members will protest in front of Windsor Redding Care Center over recent cuts to the hours of care residents receive. The initial reduction in staffing hours is limiting residents’ time for exercise and physical therapy and caregivers fear more cuts will be made.
“Residents shouldn’t have to wait or miss out on care just because we don’t have enough staff,” said Ron Rich, a certified nurse assistant at Windsor Redding. “We need a contract that safeguards quality care at Windsor Redding with staffing that protects patients and workers.”
