Home Care

Home care in California is broken. This year, consumers and providers are facing deep cuts to vital hours of care as well as the loss of time for essential domestic services, such as meal preparation and cleaning. These cuts cannot stand. We need a home care system that works for consumers, providers and their families.
In 2012, we need to change the law so that IHSS consumers can get the care they need to stay at home and workers can get the training, pay and benefits they deserve. Our union of 150,000 healthcare workers is united to protect home care and healthcare in California. Together, we can keep Californians safe and healthy at home.
