Workers to Picket Dignity, Sutter Health Facilities Calling on Hospital Execs to Work with Employees to Improve Staffing, Ensure Adequate PPE, and Make Childcare Available

Action is First Picket at Dignity Health Facilities Statewide to Demand Safety for Workers & Patients During Pandemic

Workers at facilities across California will picket Dignity Health and Sutter Health facilities statewide as workers demand more collaboration with hospital management to improve safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, including better staffing, ensuring workers have adequate personal protective equipment (PPE), and child care assistance as the employees’ children return to school.

The pickets will take place at more than 30 facilities over the next two weeks as workers continue their struggle to care for COVID-19 patients without enough staffing and too often without proper PPE to keep themselves, their patients and the community safe.
