Date Set for Dispersal of Our State Retention Bonuses!

Dignity Health has received our bonus funds from the state and plans to distribute these bonuses to us on May 5. This is the retention bonus that we as union members won through our political power, so although it is being distributed by Dignity Health, this was earned by our united efforts!

We Just Won Our Best Contract in Years!

We ratified our new contract with an incredible 99% YES Vote, securing major advancements in wages and staffing. This was a huge win accomplished by the thousands of members uniting together over months of work

Thousands of Dignity Health Workers Are Picketing for Safe-Staffing!

Frustrated with how slowly bargaining for our new contract has been progressing, thousands of us joined pickets all across the state for safer staffing in our facilities. We wanted to make sure the public knows what we are up against and the staffing improvements we need to properly serve the public. We came out through rain and atmospheric rivers to fight for patient care!

We Delivered Signed Demand Letters to Dignity

We are very concerned about short-staffing and the effects it is having on our patients. With the lack of movement happening during bargaining negotiations, we signed an open letter stating our demands to help fix the short-staffing crisis and delivered these letters to management in all of our facilities. There can be no misunderstanding on what we need to do our jobs safely and to the highest standard! Here are just a few images from that action:

COMMON SPIRIT DOESN’T GET IT
We are the frontline – not their bottom line!

When we started bargaining, we hoped Dignity/Common Spirit would address reality. The reality of 6%+ inflation, workers leaving because of low pay, and what we’ve been through in the last three years. Unfortunately, they ignored reality.

They proposed the same 3% raises we’ve gotten for years. If we’re going to staff up our facilities and keep our patients safe, we will have to fight for it! Sign our Open Letter to let Common Spirit know – they’ve got to face reality! We are the front line – not their bottom line!
