THE SURGE: Make Sure Your Facility Is Ready

We’re saving lives everyday by caring for our patients — and also by making sure that our facilities are preparing surge protocols to protect us, our coworkers, and our patients from infection. Click here for the latest COVID-19 Surge Checklist. Let’s use it across all our facilities to identify and call out hazards when we see them.

PPE SHORTAGES

“Where are the masks going — are they going out the back door?”

That was the president’s response yesterday to the increase in PPE requests from hospitals — to accuse us of stealing them. Clearly the federal government still refuses to accept that our massive PPE needs are real, even though the surge is coming and we don’t have anything close to what we need.

Try telling Jvonne that our PPE needs aren’t real — she’s a healthcare worker with an emotional message about our critical shortages.

PPE DONATIONS

In the face of a massive shortage of PPE, every little bit helps save lives. Hospitals throughout the state are accepting donations — click here if you or someone you know has masks, goggles, gowns, gloves, or other PPE to donate.

We’re already securing crucial donations statewide!
