Fighting for Respect & Recognition at Kaiser

SEIU-UHW members at Kaiser Permanente are committed to ensuring Kaiser is the best place to give and receive care. We are more than 57,000 healthcare workers united in SEIU-UHW throughout California Kaiser facilities, and part of a coalition of 86,000 Kaiser Permanente union healthcare workers across the country.

During this historic healthcare crisis, we remained dedicated to ensure quality care in our communities while fighting for safe working conditions for all healthcare workers. But Kaiser has used the pandemic as an excuse to profit and cut care across California. They’ve short-staffed us, outsourced our jobs, cut our bonuses, and now they are attempting to lay off 231 essential workers in Northern California. All this while Kaiser has recorded a net income of $6.4 billion in 2020 and $2 billion so far in 2021.
