Roseville RT Speaks Out About the Current Surge
“You want to try your hardest and do your best to take care of patients the way you normally do, and when you feel like you’re just going there and keeping people alive until the next shift, it’s not a great feeling.” Our very own Monica Abrizo from Kaiser Roseville spoke with ABC10 this week to highlight the surge they’re seeing in the Roseville area right now.

September 10 is World Suicide Prevention day
We’ve all been through so much over the last year and a half – it’s a good time to check in on ourselves and our loved ones and make sure we all have the support we need to get through this. No matter where you are or what you’re dealing with, help is available.

Bev Lane, True Leader, RIP

We are saddened to announce that one of our strongest, fiercest leaders and fighters has passed from COVID-19. Beverly Lane, Admitting Rep from Twin Cities Community Hospital was a Union Steward, Tenet Bargaining Team Member, and former UHW Executive Board Member. She may have been little but she was as fierce and fiery as they come, working tirelessly to hold Tenet Healthcare accountable, fight for her coworkers, and raise four children – one of which is now on our Executive Board. May her memory and example be an inspiration to us all. Rest In Power!

Vaccination cuts long COVID cases in half
According to a new study, your chances of getting long COVID – where you have symptoms like fatigue, body aches, or loss of taste and smell that last a month or more – are cut in half if you’ve gotten both doses of a vaccine (the study didn’t include the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine).
