Join AFRAM and Fafas Earth Mothers for an all-day cultural event with a workshop that kicks off by honoring our ancestors. There will be food, local artists, drumming and music, a documentary screening as we honor and celebrate our culture.
Tickets are $25 per person and includes all food, movies and cultural activities.

1619 Project Film Screening and Discussion
The 1619 Project includes essays and creative works by journalists, historians, and artists. The project illuminates the legacy of slavery in the contemporary United States and highlights the contributions of Black Americans to every aspect of American society. In the years since its launch, The 1619 Project and the conversations it has sparked have expanded through new resources, including a podcast, a book-length anthology, and a children’s book.

This event is co-sponsored by One Community Health, UHW Lavender Caucus, and the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce.
